Too much information?

If a sonogram has several features - such as insect calls and mechanical noise - should we classify all of them? Is there any point in classifying mechanical noise if something more interesting is present?

If you see a mechanical sound that you think someone else may mistake for an insect or bat, then marking the sound as mechanical will help us! If the clip only contains mechanical sounds, again, knowing this will really help. On the other hand, if the clip contains a bat or an insect as well as mechanical sounds, then marking the mechanical sounds would indicate that this particular recording may not be of a high quality (if we're trying the classify the bat call, for instance).

So any annotations you may will help!
